Honored Allies Wednesday: Bernard L. Montgomery (United Kingdom)

"Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery was one of the most prominent and successful British commanders of the Second World War (1939-45).  Affectionately known as 'Monty', he commanded the Allies in North Africa and in the subsequent invasions of Italy and Normandy."  Now Monty's bio is long and detailed so for me to go through it all would be daunting, so be sure to read his Wikipedia bio above and see his life's highlights.

One of the Commonwealth's best,
