Camp Fannin Memorial

Went to check out the excellent monuments for Camp Fannin.  Great tribute to all the brave men who fought to free the world from the Axis' grip. 

   

        

The below plaque is interesting.  A side of the war you don't see too often acknowledged.

   

Nice little memorial for the estimated over 5000 souls who would never make it back home once they left here.

761st Tank Battalion Memorial

Since its Black History Month, I thought I'd give credit to the brave men who fought for their nation even though treated as secondary citizens in doing so.  Read all about the ass-kickin' 761st and check out the pics from their memorial here at Ft. Hood, TX.
