"A comprehensive, chronological chronicle of the conflict that spans 20 chapters. It balances grand-scale global strategy with the devastating human toll of the war, covering the rise of totalitarianism to the dawn of the atomic age." Although brief, this is actually a pretty good telling of the whole conflict seen through a general history of the conflict. I'd definitely suggest this to someone who is ignorant to the conflict on a whole or for someone who wants to refresh their knowledge of it without spending a huge amount of time reading on it.
Worth reading for sure,
Mel
