The man was a villainous Nazi through and through and was responsible for several murders in the early 30s against political rivals. In fact, he was actually censored by the fucking Nazis as being too violent during the taking of the Free State of Brunswick! He was awarded the Knight's Cross to the Iron Cross for his command of Fernaufklärungsgruppe 4 as a Major in October 14th, 1942.
