"Adrario was the commander of the Panzerjäger-Abteilung 200 (of the 21stPanzer Division) during its battles in Normandy. Equipped with the
hard-hitting 88mm Pak 43, his battalion was able to wreak carnage during
the battle and destroy a total of 116 allied tanks in the months of
July and August. For this outstanding combat record, achieved under his
command, Adrario was eventually awarded the Knight’s Cross near the end
of that year." from his Knight's Cross to the Iron Cross citation, awarded on December 26th, 1944 as Hauptmann of Panzerjäger-Abteilung 272 of the 272nd Infantry Division.
