"The Eight Hundred"

This movie tells the tale of the Defense of Sihang Warehouse in 1937 Shanghai during the Battle of Shanghai.  It's pretty jingoistic which is understandable but boy does the Communist Party get their last say in the end narration.  It's full of all sorts of stereotypes but its still a good war flick.  Give the trailer a go below and see what you think.

A decent testament to the brave souls who fought for their country in the early days of WWII,
Brian & Mel

  1. I enjoyed it. Apparently this is a remake of a few at least 2 films from Tiwan.
