Honored Allies Wednesday: Henry FitzGibbon Boswell (Canada)

"In April 1940, Boswell's unit was sent to Norway to resist the German invasion forces.  His unit was set up in Gudbrandsdalen, during the British withdrawal from Otta to Dombås.  Boswell led the destruction of several bridges to delay the German advance, giving British forces more time to take up new defensive positions.  Boswell was honored in 1942 with the War Cross with Sword by the Norwegian authorities in exile in London."

May you be at peace,
Brian & Mel
