This war flick by Terrence Malick is simply epic! It tells of the invasion of Guadalcanal through the eyes of several American perspectives and really shows a personal and spiritual side of war that only those fighting in it can truly experience. Adapted from James Jones' novel of the same name, this is truly one of the greatest WWII films ever filmed and a must for any historian or fan of WWII. Give the trailer below a gander and see what is in my opinion, the greatest WWII film ever.
