"Born in 1921 in the village of Tolkaevka Orenburg Region, Russia. Called up in 1940 by the Leninsky district military commissariat of Tashkent. Guard Lieutenant, commander of a platoon of anti-tank rifles of the 6th Guards Cavalry Regiment of the 16th Guards Cavalry Division. For courage and heroism shown in the battles of the Great Patriotic War, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 15, 1944, Lieutenant Grechushkin Dmitry Fedorovich was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union."
