"Born in 1903 in the Dnepropetrovsk region, Ukraine. He was called up by the Pakhtakor district military commissariat of the Samarkand region in early 1942. Petty officer, assistant platoon commander of the 5th Rifle Company of the 1185th Rifle Regiment of the 356th Rifle Division. For the courage shown in the battles on the territory of the Gomel region, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 15, 1944, foreman Grechikhin Nikita Artemovich was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union."
