Gorbunov Ivan Mikhailovich

 

"Born in 1915 in the Kursk region. Russia.  He was drafted into the army by the Mirzachul city military commissariat in 1935.  Guards Senior Lieutenant, deputy squadron commander of the 42nd Guards Aviation Regiment.  He was awarded two Orders of the Red Banner, the Order of Alexander Nevsky.  For courage in the battles of the Great Patriotic War, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 2, 1943, Senior Lieutenant Gorbunov Ivan Mikhailovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union."
