"Born in 1913. He was drafted into the Soviet Army by the Samarkand City Military Commissariat. Captain, deputy commander of the 1853rd Anti-Tank Artillery Regiment. For the heroism shown in the battles on the territory of Romania, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, Captain Nikolai Fedorovich Volkov was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union."
