"Born in 1916 in the Pskov region, Russia. He was drafted into the army by the Andijan military registration and enlistment office. Lieutenant, commander of the T-34 tank of the 326th Tank Regiment. Awarded the Order of the Red Star and for heroism and courage in the battles of the Great Patriotic War, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, Lieutenant Alexander Ivanovich Volkov was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union."
