"Born in 1922 in the village of Krasnopolye, Mogilev Region. He was drafted into the Soviet Army by the Bukhara City Military Commissariat. Senior Lieutenant, commander of a battalion of 45-millimeter guns of the 1118th Rifle Regiment of the 333rd Rifle Division. For courage in battles in the Zaporozhye region, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 22, 1944, Senior Lieutenant Isaac Fedorovich Vaksman was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union."
