"Born in 1925 in the city of Mirzachul, Tashkent region, Uzbek. He was drafted into the Soviet Army by the Mirzachul district military commissariat in January 1943. Guards Junior Sergeant, machine gun gunner. He served in the 169th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 1st Guards Rifle Division. For the heroism shown during the crossing of the Neman River, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, Turgun Akhmedov was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union."
