Guard corporal, submachine gunner of the 1st Infantry Battalion of the 201st Infantry Regiment. Awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II for special distinctions in the battles in Belarus, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 22, 1944, Mikhail - Mugesh Agatelovich Artyunonov was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin."
