"Born in 1914 in the village of Khenseran, Armenian SSR. Called up in 1936 by the Samarkand District military commissariat. Guard Lieutenant, commander of a Saber Squadron of the 54th Guards Cavalry Regiment of the 14th Guards Cavalry Division. For the heroism shown in battles, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 15, 1944, Lieutenant Gurgen Mirzoevich Arzumanov was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and the Order of Lenin."
