Enemy Elite Friday: Willy Zeller (Germany)

"During the fighting south of Leningrad Leutnant Zeller threw back strong enemy forces that had penetrated the left neighboring sector.  This action, carried out at the head of just a few Württemberg-Baden Grenadiers, was executed on his own initiative.  Afterwards he and his troops were able to hold the recaptured position against numerous Soviet attacks."  from his Knight's Cross to the Iron Cross citation, awarded on February 7th, 1944 as Leutnant of 9./Grenadier-Regiment 380.

Another bold enemy elite,
Brian
