Guards Private, shooter of the 4th Company of the 267th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 89th Guards Rifle Division. Awarded the Order of the Red Banner. For the valor shown in the battles on the territory of Poland, by the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 27, 1945, Guards Private Yury Ivanovich Gulin was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union."
